The 6th International Istanbul Textile Conference Proceedings Book was prepared following the success of the 5th conference held in 2005, with the aim of sharing and discussing new developments and innovations in the textile and apparel industry. Organized under the theme “Recent Advances in Innovation and Enterprise in Textiles and Clothing,” the conference focuses on the role and development potential of technical textiles within applied materials science. It features research presentations on nine key areas: medical textiles, smart and interactive textiles, ecological textiles, surface coatings, composite materials, apparel design, textile innovations, and computer technologies for textiles and apparel. Bringing together academics, researchers, and industry professionals from around the world, the event promotes collaboration and knowledge exchange. Selected papers will be published in a special issue of the Journal of Marmara University Institute of Pure and Applied Sciences.
