This book is a collection of papers presented by the Turkish University Association for European Community Studies (TUNA-ECS) in Istanbul, published with the support of the Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey (TOBB) and the Marmara University European Community Institute. It includes six additional papers addressing various aspects of EU–Turkey relations. The volume aims to provide a multidisciplinary perspective—covering politics, law, and economics—on the implications of the accession negotiations between the European Union and Turkey, which began in 2005. The focus is primarily on post-2004 debates concerning Turkey’s prospects for EU membership.
